2nd floor snarr east!

holla!!!

we're having a bit of a competition here on east snarr. we decided to get 2nd floor shirts made. so in order to do that we have to have the best design! we're voting sometime soon- this is the design i submitted.

a couple of the pictures on the door are a little bit of inside jokes. the asian walking the sheep is a little cartoon by carl- he draws it on every ones whiteboard.

captain hook is on there b/c there's kind of a pirate theme in the dorm since we're in snarrrrr. get it?....

in other news- i attended a belly dancing class today! talk about hard work...it was tough!! i can't wait to get really good at it :D

welcome to my new home for the next 9 months! it's pretty cozy...nothing like home though. i've been super super busy lately. there's been freshman orientation stuff everyday since wednesday! it feels really good to get a break and just relax.

i'm really excited to show you all this. it's my first paying client!! awna did their pictures for their wedding and they asked me to do their thank you's. it'll be put on the back of a postcard. what do you all think?!

it's my first college assignment! little early for it don't you think? i think so too. but...if you click on it you can read it and learn all about me! we were supposed to make something that consists of our life experiences... i don't have many. haha

here is the finished product of jace and awna's wedding banner! the top picture might look a little funny...i sorta spliced the two together and skewed it so they'd match up. the banner was too big for me to take just one picture. i looks way better in the light. i added gold and bronze paint to it. it glitters so nice when the sunshine hits it. :)

my silly boyfriend

it's probably mean of me to tell this story, but it's just too funny to keep to myself!

last night my sister, boyfriend, and i watched marley and me. (by the way, i cried soooo much at the end. i'm such a softy...i'm not even an animal person!) anyway, about 5 minutes into the movie brade fell asleep! granted we didn't start the movie until after 11. this happens to brade a lot and i feel bad because when it does...i like to just barely wake him up and ask him questions. previous questions have included: what are you dreaming about, how much do you love me, and what do you want for christmas. basically i try to get as much information out of his subconscious as possible. is this not completely mean? i would hate it if someone did this to me, but i can't help it! it's just so fun! sometimes, when i'm in the middle of my interrogation- brade'll start saying things that make absolutely NO sense. haha this is my favorite. last night i was telling brade to wake up because he's missing an awesome movie and i'm crying would you please comfort me?

brade replied by saying, "TV MOUTH LAMP."

"What?!" hehe i started laughing. who wouldn't?! then, i started asking him what he meant? (i thought maybe there was something more about the tv, mouth, and/or lamp that would give me a deeper look into his mind)

"that means don't talk to me when i'm sleeping!"

hahahah. i laughed so hard! apparently my amazing boyfriend speaks a different language in his dreams. :) could he get any more perfect!? maybe he's an alien :D we can only hope....and continue to monitor his dreams.

sorry boyfriend! i just had to share how adorable you are.

it's a beautiful day.

i had a wonderful day today. i got a chance to catch up with my best friend! we haven't seen each other much lately so today was especially fun. we did nothing but talk. it was the best. i am definatly hoping for many more :) and i am also hoping she'll start blogging! (i'm pretty sure i talked her into it) she's a wonderful photographer and friend. she's full of great ideas..i wish she'd be around more often and i'm definatly going to miss her when school starts!

here are just a few things i've been working on lately for awna and jace's wedding! they're planning the cutest wedding. outdoors and in the fall. amazing. i can't wait to see it all put together!

the wedding tree! (idea found here) they're planning on using this instead of a guestbook. guests will use ink to stamp their thumbs and put them on the tree as leaves- also signing their names by it. so cute!

tissue paper flowers for the bridal shower. turned out great. they're using glass coke bottles as vases!

just the beginning of the wedding banner. i'm adding branches with flowers to the bottom left corner and to the top right corner.

this about sums up my cleaning philosophy. my room is a complete mess as is the desk in the living room. i'm right in the middle of a bunch of projects, and instead of putting my stuff away after i'm done i just leave it out..and start another project. it's really starting to add up. the same goes with my bedroom. i'm beginning to think that maybe if i just wait til i pack for college i'll never have to clean it ever again. EVER. weird thought.
