Family Tattoo Night

Do I have an awesome family or what?

Last night after work we all loaded up into the pickup and headed to town! Tattoos were what we were after, and tattoos were what we got. People always ask what it feels like to get a tattoo...well, here's our comparisons:

I said it feels like a thousand bee stings.

My dad said it feels like scraping off skin with a cuticle clipper.

Mom agreed but said it was more like pulling your skin off.

Luke said, "Feels like getting a tattoo."

I guess I'd have to agree. It's like nothing I've felt before. But, it was really a fun time. We all LOVE our new ink!

mom claims she had it the worst. from the looks of it- i'd have to agree.

sorry, but nothing good rhymes with tattoos. haha. so ready for the big news?! my dad, mom, brother, and i are all getting tattoos together! i put together a design with all our first initials in it. everyone in the family's eventually going to get it (the youngest two are just too little) :) i'm excited!!

this weekend i:

• was in a car for 14 hours
• napped on my boyfriend for 8 of those hours
• went to a beautiful wedding
• took my first polariod picture!
• rode a hydro bike
• paddled a kayak
• showered in what seemed like a scary cave
• Camped!!
• roasted teeny weenies over an open fire
• spent quality time with my boyfriend and his awesome family
• and Had FUN!

cupcakes at midnight

i made cupcakes! they actually taste good :) hehe. i only messed up like 3 times. and then, after that, i couldn't sleep so i drew a tree on a page of a book. random. i like it though..i wanted to paint it, but it was like 1 in the morning and i just didn't feel like cleaning brushes. the word "soul" is in the lower heart.

i'm experiencing some torrential rain over here. it just won't stop! i'm actually supposed to be at work right now, but because of the weather i have to wait for our gravel road to dry off a little. it's crazy! but a nice way to get out of a few hours of work :-D

was the original. i used photoshop's clone tool to fill in the space between with the little flowers and grass. it's amazing what you can do!

busy, busy, busy!

hello everyone! i've been so busy lately designing lots of different things! how exciting :) my boyfriend's sister- awna, and i are in the process of making our own business! there will definitely be more to come about that. oh and by the way- like the hair cut?!

also, my town is having their centennial next summer and i was asked to design a few things for them that could go on shirts and hats and stuff..here's a couple i did so far. what do you think?

so true. and today i tried to live up to it. i spent most of yesterday feeling sad- i missed my boyfriend. it's amazing how one person can affect your mood so drastically. but, being the perfect, amazing, wonderful man he is :) he surprised me at work today...with a flower!

i was so excited! i couldn't quit hugging him :) he stayed there and kept me company for 3 and a half hours..he's perfect. i even talked him into picking wildflowers with me when we got home. it didn't exactly turn out to be the romantic adventure i had in mind- considering the mosquitoes were all but lifting us off the ground! but we had fun and boyfriend was a trooper (he hates bugs, but mosquitoes really like him).

oh! and by the way..i've made a hair appointment for wednesday next week! goodbye drabby, straggly locks! hello cute swingy short hair! yay!
